Reflections 

I spent the past few days away in Colorado for my college 10 year reunion.  The first half was spent in Denver, and the remaining half we stayed in Estes Park.  

This is a self photo I took at Bear Lake, located in the Rocky Mountain National Park. The road leading to the lake was under construction, with daily closures from 9am to 4pm.  I have seen amazing photos of the lake taken during sunrise, so I was determined to check it out myself.  I almost did not make it, however, since I had only gotten 2, 3 hours of sleep the night before.  Luckily, there was no traffic on the way, which made for a brisk drive.  I was the only one there, which felt somewhat eerie, a feeling worsened by the sound of crows.  Such fears receded once I saw the picturesque lake, with its calm waters and beautiful reflection of the surrounding mountains.

Hiking around Bear Lake was definitely one of the highlights of my trip.
