Rise & Shine
Taken one early morning, after I finished taking photos of the sunrise. Perhaps the most amazing thing about this shot is that I did not have to edit this photograph at all. Normally, pictures taken with my 55-250mm lens tend to lack color and contrast. There must have been something magical about the light that morning.

You Bring Me Hope
For me, the most enjoyable aspect of early spring is seeing all the blooming flowers and sprouting leaves. What’s not to like is the ever changing weather. This weekend we were hit with some grueling torrential rain.
I took this photo with my 55-250mm telephoto lens, which has become my go-to lens for floral photography. While the subject of a photograph is obviously very important, I like to also seek out interesting and pleasing backgrounds. In addition to its close focusing capability, the 55-250mm also has the benefit of creating a nice creamy background, mainly the result of its long focal length.
