The Universe Around Us
One nice thing about living in a sparsely populated area is being to see a sky full of stars.
So We Meet Again…
I made the decision to wake up before sunrise yesterday morning and go to the lake to take some photos. Hoping for a spectacular sunrise, I was instead greeted with a grey cloudy sky. Certain something I could work with, since clouds can create some pretty interesting long exposure photographs.
The pathway to the lighthouse was completely covered with layers upon layers of ice and snow. It was the kind that was very difficult to walk on, as every step was met with ice that crushed upon contact. This was most definitely the biggest challenge I’ve taken for the sake of photography.
The funny thing is that as I was trying to steady myself along the way, someone just casually jogged past by me, as if he were floating on top of it all.
Gateway To My Soul
Sheboygan Breakwater Lighthouse, Sheboygan, WI
Taken on a very cold and windy day. Or I should say, the wind has gotten to my soul :)
Electric City
Chicago, IL
We seem to be going back to Chicago every few weeks, either to take care of errands, meet up with friends, or just to enjoy the city life. The 2.5 hour drive no longer intimidate us, and I don’t mind traveling back and forth in a day.

Rouge
Sheboygan, WI
I went by the lake this morning in hopes to get some good pictures. As I was walking on the pier towards the lighthouse, I spotted a snowy owl. It was the first time I have ever seen one, and I was surprised by how large it was. Seeing how it turned its head more than 180 degrees towards me was a bit creepy. I tried to switch to my telephoto lens, but by the time I opened the camera bag, it had already flown away. When I walked by the spot it was sitting, I saw the bloody remains of what appeared to be a bird. I guess it was having breakfast!

Sunset By The River
The Milwaukee River that is. Last weekend, I attended a photowalk in downtown Milwaukee. I was surprised by how strong the attendance was, as well over a dozen people went. There were not many people strolling the streets, however, despite the unseasonably warm weather. Perhaps everyone was hanging out by the lake.
