Standing Ground
Taken during last month’s photo walk in Milwaukee, WI.  One of the things that I always seem to forget is to use the bathroom (or drink less liquids) before going on an extensive photo shoot.  That often limits how long I can stay outside :)

In The Blink Of An Eye
Every time I drive by the downtown area on 90/94, I have always wondered how awesome it would be if I could photograph the skyline from one of the bridges that span across the expressway.  One night I did have the chance to check it out.
Sadly, the photographs taken at that spot were not impressive as I thought they would be.  But I guess with photography, you’ll never know unless you try it out.

The Temple
The Medinah Temple is one of the most intricately beautiful buildings in the River North area of downtown Chicago.  It was beautifully restored when it became occupied by the Bloomingdale’s Home and Furniture store.  Even if you are not into shopping, just checking out the indoor architecture - including the stained glass windows - is totally worth it.

League of Giants
I was not fully satisfied with my initial shots of the Aqua Tower, so I was glad to have the opportunity to retake them again a few days later.

Wrigley
Wrigley Field is one of the oldest active ballparks in the country.  Because of its age, it does not have some of the nicest amenities.  But for what it lacks, it makes it up in character, especially with its ivy covered outfield wall and hand turned score board.
Taken during a Google+ event I participated in over the weekend.

Without Hesitation
Last night I went on my 2nd Google+ photowalk.  About a dozen of us convened at The Bean, with camera gear and tripods.  I was rather surprised by how many people were out on the streets at 10pm.  Granted, The Taste of Chicago was taking place, and there was an opera performance at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion.
Along our way up on Michigan Avenue, we were stopped a number of times by curious folks, asking why so many of us were out with cameras.  Our standard response was to tell them Brad Pitt is in town.  One girl even thought we were there to shoot a meteor shower.  Hmm, don’t think downtown is the best place to shoot a meteor shower, with light pollution and all.
I took this long exposure at the median located at the intersection of Wacker and Michigan.  There was barely enough space to fit my tripod, so it felt a bit scary standing there, as cars zoomed right past me.

Colors Of The Night
Another night shot of Downtown Chicago by the River. I love how the water turns silky smooth in long exposure shots.
Taken with a 10-22mm, 60 sec. exposure.
