Taken the first evening I got to LA. I can’t believe I forgot to bring my tripod that day. Silly me.
There were all kinds of people by the beach that day: joggers, people walking their dogs, folks doing yoga (including one guru-looking guy), and plenty of photographers (including some doing wedding shots).
Sunrise
Woke up at 4 this morning to take some photos by the lake. By 6 I had finished shooting, and headed to Chinatown to pick up breakfast for the wife and kid. Surprisingly there were actually people dining at the restaurant when I got there, as usually I am the only one there. It’s a routine that I’m growing to love more & more.

At Last
This past weekend I went to the Morton Arboretum with a friend and my toddler son. Got to admit that it was not the best day to visit, as temperatures hit the 90s, making the hikes difficult at times. My son did seem to enjoy his wagon ride though, and I made sure he was well hydrated.
I spotted this little flower along one of the paths. Did not think much about the shot until I reviewed it on my computer screen.

My photography style & vision were fostered while I traveled the world as an adolescent. Living and experiencing a multitude of cultures opened my eyes, instilling within me a deep sense of respect for others along with an appreciation of their beliefs. At the same time, being constantly on the move sometimes made me wish I could just hit the magical pause button.
The common underlying theme that I try to convey in my images is a sense of solitude and calmness. We might lead hectic and fast-paced lifestyles, but if we sit back and pause for a moment, we just might be able to enjoy the world all to ourselves.
The kinds of pictures I enjoy taking include food, floral and night photography.
I currently live in the suburbs of Chicago, along with my wife and young son. Besides photography, I enjoy all things culinary and spending time with my family.
