Soaking It All In

Unedited, straight out of the camera shot taken a few weekends ago in downtown Chicago.

Today was another hot day.  Yet, we decided to brave the heat and sit outside during dinner time.  It wasn’t long till we started sweating profusely.  I guess it was tolerable, since I rarely spend that much time outside these past couple of days.

Which reminds me that one nice thing about hot weather is no need to cut the grass.

At Last

This past weekend I went to the Morton Arboretum with a friend and my toddler son.  Got to admit that it was not the best day to visit, as temperatures hit the 90s, making the hikes difficult at times.  My son did seem to enjoy his wagon ride though, and I made sure he was well hydrated.

I spotted this little flower along one of the paths. Did not think much about the shot until I reviewed it on my computer screen.

To Leap! 

My B+W 10 stop ND filter just came in today, so hopefully I’ll have the chance to take some day time long exposure shots over the weekend (need to make sure to bring my tripod!). Super psyched!

This shot was taken at an outdoor mall.  It seems that all public places plant tulips in early spring.  This is one of my favorite tulip shots.  Generally I just find tulips difficult to photograph well, maybe because they can look very plain.  At least in my opinion :)
